The State of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg does not gather any personal data other than the IP addresses in web server logs for security purposes; user consent is not required before visiting the website.
The National Health Directorate (Direction de la santé) is the data controller.
Users can file complaints relating to the protection of their personal data through the various communication channels available, as well as with the data controller, in this case the National Health Directorate. Users can also file complaints with the National Health Directorate data protection officer at the following email address: info_donnees@ms.etat.lu. Users can also contact the National Commission for Data Protection (Commission nationale pour la protection des données), which has its registered office at 15, Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux, in relation to any dispute arising in this area.

Data processing in connection with managing the newsletter
The email address provided by the user when they sign up for the newsletter on this site will be disclosed to a data processor for the sole purpose of distributing the newsletter. The data processor – the company "Mailjet", based in Paris, France – is subject to the same legal obligations with regard to personal data protection. To prevent abuse of the system, the user must confirm their subscription by clicking on a link sent to the email address they provided.
The user may unsubscribe at any time using a link provided in each email, or by contacting the Body responsible for the site. In the event of problems using the newsletter, the user must also contact the Body responsible for the site. The user's data will not be kept for longer than the period of their subscription.
The data controller is the Body responsible for this site.
Data processing in connection with audience measurement
Certain data relating to the user's hardware and software, which are not capable of revealing their identity, are collected when they visit the public website. The sole purpose of collecting such data is to gather statistics on website traffic (type of browser, resolution, approximate location, etc.) in order to provide users with the best possible user experience.
Under no circumstances is the user's full IP address stored. Only one part of the IP address is stored in order to obtain overall statistics, and under no circumstances is it possible to identify the user.
These data are stored and hosted in Europe in a solution provided by a data processor – specifically, Adobe Systems Inc. – which, as such, is subject to the same legal obligations regarding personal data protection, should such data be gathered in the future.
The data are stored for no longer than is necessary to observe how audiences evolve based on browsers, resolution settings, and other available statistical data.
The National Health Directorate (Direction de la santé) is the data controller.
Data processing in connection with online surveys
Users' data are gathered, with their permission, for the sole purpose of conducting surveys for the State's administrations. Technical audience measurement data are also collected at the same time.
The data are stored for the duration of the survey, plus a few weeks for the results to be statistically analysed.
These surveys are conducted directly on the website of a data processor – specifically, surveygizmo.eu, developed by Widgix Limited, based in the United States. The data are hosted in Europe. That data processor is subject to the same legal obligations regarding personal data protection, as the surveys are carried out for or by users from the European Union.
The procedures for carrying out these surveys are such that none of the data collected permits personal identification of the user. Even by combining technical identifier data (IP address or information about the user's browser or device) and/or data gathered from multiple surveys, the data processor operating the platform would still not be able to personally identify the user.
The National Health Directorate is the data controller and the recipient of the data.
