First of all, listening to what your body is telling you is vital for a balanced diet. Our bodies tell us when they are hungry and when they have had enough to eat.

To get the most out of your meal, it is important to eat slowly and savour all the flavours. 

A balanced plate

If you keep the ideal plate in mind, it is easy to prepare a balanced meal :

Most of the time, add more vegetables to your dishes to make them more balanced. You can add a vegetable soup or a salad as a starter, choose a large portion of vegetables and/or accompany the main dish with a side of raw vegetables.

To save time in the kitchen, you can buy fresh vegetables in bags (ready washed and chopped) or frozen vegetables.

To keep meals light, use less fat and take less sauce.
